Devices¶
Setup walkthroughs for the controller families that need more than plug in and play.
Most controllers work in PadForge with no special setup: plug in, assign to a slot, play. The pages in this section exist for the families that have extra capabilities or extra setup steps worth their own walkthrough.
| Family | Why it has a page |
|---|---|
| DualShock 3 | Needs a one-time pairing step over USB before Bluetooth works |
| Wii Controllers | Pairing, extensions, Motion Plus, the IR pointer, and the Joy-Con extras (IR Brightness, the Joy-Con 2 mouse) |
Families without a page here (DualSense, DualShock 4, Xbox, Switch Pro, Steam Controller, Steam Deck, generic DirectInput) are covered by the Features pages, because everything about them is standard: their capabilities light up automatically wherever they apply. Joy-Con works the same way, except for two extras documented on the Wii Controllers page: the standalone right Joy-Con's IR Brightness source and the Joy-Con 2 optical mouse.
